If the largest diamond ever found had a size of 3106 carats; one carat is equivalent to a mass of 0.200 g. Using the fact that 1 kg (1000g) has a weight of 2.205 lb under certain conditons; how would I determine the weight of this diamond in lbs?

3106 carats x weight of 1 carat in grams (0.2g) is the weight of the diamond in grams.
Next, find how many kg the diamond weighs by dividing the weight of the diamond in grams by 1000.
Finallly, take this value and multiply it by the conversion factor 2.205 from kg to lbs and that is your answer.
