A 0.099 kg rock is attached to a 2.16 m long string and swung in a horizontal circle at a speed of 30.3 m/s. Find the tension in the string. Neglect the effect of gravity.

Both of your questions have to do with circular motion.
With m = 0.099kg
r= 2.16 m
v = 30.3 m/s

The force is given by F= mv^2/r

F = (0.099 * (30.3)^2)/2.16

=42.08 N
