If a 30 Amp Circuit is used, what is the length of 10-guage copper wire with an area of 5.0mm^2 needed for the 30 Amp current?
I have found that the resistivity of copper is 1.7 E-8 Ωm.
I know the equation I need to use is Resistance = Resistivity*(Lenght/Area) (I think) but where would I find the resistance for the equation?
I also know that Resistance=Voltage/Current
I just dont understand how to get this question done. Any help would be appreciated!!! |

| Are you sure this is the only information given in the question? As it is, there is not enough information to calculate the length. |
