I am currently taking my first ever physics class and it happens to be in a university setting. I have been working problems for hours now in preparation for my Monday exam and upon checking my answers, I can not get a problem right for the life of me. I am getting the general idea for problem set up but I can not seem to get the variables right or use the right equations to figure out the correct answers. It is very frustrating and I was hoping that someone might have some suggestions for me. This is a calculus based physics class and I am currently enrolled in Calculus 3 as well so I am rather comfortable with math.

Please....someone.....HELP!

What is the actual problem? You need to be more specific.

The problems that I am working on involve force and motion. Newton's first and second law. I can get the free body diagrams set up and list all forces and even right down most of the equations but then I get stuck. It is not just one problem, it is for all of them. Sad

Okay. If you give us one of the problems maybe we offer you some guidance which will help with the other problems.
